The crisis in companies has become one of the characteristics of the modern life.

Companies with their different perspectives, types, and shapes… cannot avoid dealing with crisis no matter how ready they are to face them.

But, they can at least overcome the crisis and suffer the least damage they can, then get back to their normal activity with a bigger strength in case they get over the latter.

Effective communication in the company is considered the rope of survival in crisis.That is because communication in sensitive situations is related to the detailed consideration of the expected risks and outcomes before any crisis happens.

In addition to this, the main principle of communication in crisis is "to never stay isolated" from solving the crisis or the problem that is facing the company in order to avoid the spreading of rumors and gossip that the media might take advantage of.

This is why the faster the company that is in crisis or on the verge of facing one, draws a detailed and well‐studied effective communication plan, the less harmful the damage can be.

Whereas keeping silence would be like pouring oil on the company's fire which would contribute in increasing the crisis.

We will try through this intervention to emphasize the leading role of communication as an important medium in public relations when dealing with crisis in the company.
