Abstract EN
The object of this study is to test the hypothesis of the Kuznets environmental curve (EKC) based on data from four North African countries (Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt) during the period 1971-2014.
This hypothesis suggests the relationship between economic growth and environmental pollution.
In the form of an inverted U, using the regression analysis of the time series data (panel).
The results of this model confirmed the validity of the EKC hypothesis.
The results also showed that energy consumption increases environmental pollution (emissions) Carbon Dioxide.
