Abstract EN

This study aimed at exploring the issue of risk management in insurance companies and its effect on their performance.

The problem of the study can be summed up in the following questions: What is the impact of risk management on insurance companies? What are the differences between risk management methods adopted by various insurance companies? The study followed the historical and the case study methods, in addition to the use of Statistical Package for Social Science program (SPSS).

The study most important results indicated that the risk management approach through collection policy is not considered as a mainstay of insurance.

The study most important recommendations stress the need to attract customers through the pricing function in order for insurance companies to get the largest number of risks.
