The study aimed to explore the effect of salaries on the satisfaction of staff members at the University of Science and Technology.

The data were collected through a questionnaire, which was distributed to a sample of 100 employees at the University of Science and Technology, while the SPSS program was used to test the study hypotheses, and to analyze its data.

The results of the study showed that 51.75% of the sample strongly not agreed that their salaries matched their functional duties, with an arithmetic mean of 2.82 and a standard deviation of (1.40), which indicated the low salary paid to the university staff.

Moreover, the results showed that 73.75% of the study sample agreed that the university salary level was low, with an arithmetic mean of 3.82 and a standard deviation of (1.17).

This confirms the dissatisfaction of the staff members with their salaries.

Furthermore 33.75% of the study sample believed that the salary structure of the university was not fair, with an arithmetic mean of 2.79 and a standard deviation of 1.13.

This confirms that the salary structure of the university was unfair.

The study recommended a number of recommendations, including calling for the administration of the university to review its staff salaries to match their functional duties.
