Abstract EN

This study aimed to investigate the extent of students’ willing to accept and adopt programming via smart phones rather than PCs in labs which were not available to them after class hours.

To achieve that, a research model was developed using the latest version of the technology acceptance model: TAM3 that consist of behavioral, perceived and external variables.

To collect research data, a questionnaire was developed using rigorous scales.

Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) software was used to validate research scales and to test hypotheses.

The research results show that most hypotheses were accepted totally or partially.Specifically, results show that the variance explained in the main dependent variable Behavioral Intention (BI) was (R2= 0.375) or 38% approximately.However, it was expected to be 50% or more to be an evidence of mobile as a platform for programming replacing PC labs.

The researchers provides several recommendations and some limitations in the prevailing study in order for future studies to benefit from them.
