Abstract EN
In the beginning of June 2017, three countries from the GCC and one country outside the GCC imposed an unconventional blockade against Qatar, which affected entities not related to the conflicts between states.
Family is the main entity, which has been affected by the blockade on Qatar.
The latter has a negative impact on the mixed Gulf families in and outside Qatar; especially many Qatari families have familial relationships at the blockading countries, which contributed to breaking blood relations in many families.
This study discusses the legal aspects of the consequences of the blockade imposed on Qatar on mixed families at the international and regional levels.
It follows a descriptive methodology to highlight the unconventional aspect of the blockade in the light of international standards while underlying its violation to Arab and international charters.
