This article raises the issue of the legality of the issuance and circulation of endowment instruments and their economic effects, where the Islamic instruments are as alternative to the financial instruments in the traditional system, that recently have a widespread.

They attract many investors for that they are considered as the best means of attracting genuine savings, and collecting the needed funds to finance investment projects.Moreover; the endowment instruments are the most important financing means for Awqaf funds, and they have been widely accepted.

In this article, we have dealt with the endowment instruments in details and analysing them according to their legality of the issuance and circulation in the secondary market, and their economic effects.
