Abstract EN

The biography of Imam Ali(P.U.H.) represents the living image of Islam; it is the practical representation of the Islamic conception and the principles of the immortal mission.

So writing about Imam Ali(P.U.H.) is the writing about Islam and its conceptions, instructions and march.

To understand the pure Islam means to understand the life of the prophet and his pure progenies(P.U.H.) The importance of this study is clarified by paying attention to the encyclopedic content of the history resources that illustrated all the historic activities of Imam Ali(P.U.H.).

These resources paid a great deal of attention to the military events that he had witnessed since the rise of the Islamic call till his martyred, and the political situations where Imam Ali(P.U.H.) had a great effect after the death of the prophet, in addition to the social and political activities.

His method is still attractive for the researcher and the historian.

In this study the researcher tackled the attitudes of Imam Ali(P.U.H.) towards the general political movement after the death of the prophet discussing the reality of the conference of Al-Saqhifah as a coup d’état al-Ghadeer allegiance as well as the role of AlMuhajereen and Al-Ansar in depriving Imam Ali(P.U.H.) of his political right.

These subjects are discussed within three topics:- the role of Al-Muhajereen in depriving Imam Ali(P.U.H.) of caliphate, the role of Al-Ansar in depriving Imam Ali(P.U.H.) of caliphate and probability of the diversity of the attitudes of Al-Muhajereen and AlAnsar in supporting Ali(P.U.H.), respectively.
