Abstract EN

The present paper aims to explore contradictions being described as a symmetrical poetical structure which personifies the struggle between the self and the other.

These contradictions accordingly manifest via symmetry, struggle and paradox.

Based on a pragmatic approach, the researcher tries to interrogate contradiction discourse and thus discover its pragmatic dimensions within interactive relationships thereby tracing its argumentative and speech act aspects.

The study also tries to discover the different strategies and mechanisms to structure this artistic model which is essentially built on interaction and argumentative communication between claimer and opponent thereby the question being proposed becomes a site of interrogation and debate.
