pragmatics is a linguistic Western term; indicates the new linguistic trend has developed in the seventies of the twentieth century; interested to study the language within the linguistic and non-linguistic contexts.

This study strive to follow Linguistic and terminological meaning of this term in the linguistic Western culture, and how it reflected on the linguistic Arab culture, translation and transliteration in the term and concept; following the separation between the pragmatics as a linguistic method, and pragmatism as a philosophical pragmatic doctrine.
