The term of e-government is still newly especially in developing countries, but this concept has gained importance as result of development in information technology & the global trend toward the e-business, and Algeria is seeking hard to keep up this development through the adoption of the project “e-Algeria ” Accordingly, this paper is tried to identify the theoretical & practical framework for e-government & to shed light on its reality & challenges in Algeria.
