ohn Dewey believes that education is the fundamentals method of social progress and reform.
All reforms which rest simply upon the enactment of law are transitory and futile, the school is primarijy a social institution, education being a social prosess, the school is simpjy that form of commnity life.
Is education the refore is a peocess of living and a preparation for future living.
The moral education centres upon this conception of the schools as a mode of social life, the child schoold be stimulated and controlled in his work thru the life of the community.
The social life of the childs is the basis of concentration or correlation, in all his training the unconscious unity and the background of all his effotrs and of all his attainments.
In the ideal school we have the reconciliation of the individualistic and the instutional ideals, the commity daty to education is, therefore, its paramont moral daty.By law socity can regulate, but thru education societu can fommulate,its own pourposes, can organize its own means and resources.
