Under the lesson of text liguistics, the attention has gone beyond the philosophy of the linking between the single sentences, and has expanded to search the elements that contribute to linking sentences and phrases, and the reference tool is considered as the most common element that achieve the cohesion in the various texts and discourses, and it is surely achieved by means of a number of tools, including the demonstratives which are characterized by the extended reference capability to much talk, which makes text coherence stronger , fo that reason we have chosen it to be the field of the study, in an attempt to discover its role in achieving the textual cohesion on the level of more than one verse in Surat Al-Baqarah which is one of highest holly quran models.
