Abstract EN

This study aims to clarify the international standards for dealing with the crime of human trafficking according to the UN Protocol and the Jordanian legislation and their compatibility, The study problem shows the compatibility of the Jordanian legislation with the UN protocol.

In this study, the researcher used the descriptive analytical method.

The most important conclusion reached by the researcher through this study is the existence of compatibility between the Jordanian legislation and the UN protocol regarding to the crime of human trafficking despite the difference in the use of some terms, also, the UN Protocol required to take the necessary procedures for protecting, preventing and prosecuting the crime of human trafficking, and the Jordanian legislator responded by defining protection, prevention and prosecution strategies done by the National Commission for the Prevention of Human Trafficking.

The most important recommendations by the researcher are the need to review the penalties contained in the Jordanian legislation, especially in the human trafficking prevention law and working to tighten these penalties, finding a mechanism to reintegrate the victims of human trafficking with the society and working on forming a fund to support these victims.
