Abstract EN

The article deals with the emergence of social activism in the state of Tripoli, which is mainly due to the contribution of the Ottoman reform movement to the spread of educational institutions in the state, which resulted in the emergence of an educated class that had an active role in forming associations of a political and social nature through which the concerns of Libyan society were expressed and presented Solutions to address these concerns, but the position of the state government responded and encouraged some of them and opposed to one another.
