The aim of this study is to analyze the evolution of the unemployment problem in Algeria during the period 1980-2017, and trying to measure the determinants of this problem using the long-term FMOLS model and the ECM model short-term.
The study concluded that the most significant determinants of unemployment behavior in Algeria in the long term are the expenses of and investment, oil prices and loans directed to the private sector.
The study also concluded that loans directed to the private sector are the main determinant of the behavior of unemployment in the short term
