Rumors are the most dangerous of the fourth generation wars(4GW) because their negative effects on the security and stability of communities, and because the social work profession is concerned with the interactions between people and their social environments, so it has a professional responsibility to develop community awareness against rumors.

The question of research is; What is the professional responsibility of the community organizer to develop community awareness in dealing with Rumors, The objectives of research was; defining the concept of rumors and their social effects, and requirements, professional mechanisms to develop community awareness against rumors.

This study belongs to future studies that using the inductive approach.

The important conclusions was: The rumors are incorrect or false news that has a part of truth and has been distorted, and often affects the basic and security needs of citizens, spread in times of crisis and in the weak social awareness, have negative social effects, community organizer practice many roles to develop community awareness against rumors to avoid their negative social effects.
