Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the role of geographers in the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 and the extent of geographical contribution to the implementation of the vision through the geographical approach‘While highlighting Saudi Arabia's natural and human resources* With a focus on the current state of industry in it‘ and to achieve this study relied on the literature written on the subject And data from the Ministry of Energy Industry and Mineral Resources* which were statistically treated using the Pearson correlation coefficient* and time series analysis* And others to know the relations between the factories and the population and the size of the workforce and capital invested in the industry.

The study found that there is a spatial and qualitative variation in the distribution of factories in Saudi Arabia* reflecting that the industrialization in the Kingdom is linked to the number of population dependent on consumer goods*and we can say that the industry needs to be resettled in the sites that achieve the objectives of economic development in terms of its connection to the elements that it owns and through which to achieve an economically viable industry.

The study also found that geographers play an important role in developmental planning because of the geographical thinking and tools that enable it to be among the working groups that are planned and implemented for the vision of the Kingdom of 2030 because development is the first geographic issue.

The study recommended the need to exploit the sources of geographical knowledge to diagnose and analyze the current situation of Geo-spatial nature* and to make use of them to support the decision-making bodies in the perspectives of the vision of the Kingdom of 2030 and its various sectors.

It also recommended a review of the endemic industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia* according to the available and supportive of this endemic
