Abstract EN

The question whereupon this study based is: “is Ibn Sina present aesthetic theory in his philosophy? To reach to the answer, the researcher started from the concept of “beautiful” and “beauty» in the philosopher’s point of view, therefore what is the “beautiful” as witnessed by Ibn Sina? In order to be familiar with the concept of “beautiful” and “beauty”, it was a must to consider his theory of existentialism and knowledge.

The concept of “beauty» was not separated, in the Middle Ages, from other philosophical sciences such as existence and knowledge but the concept of beauty was causally connected with the concept of metaphysical perfection.

Therefore, there must be interpretation of concept of perfection from the point of view of the philosopher then move to the concept of “beauty”, “ugliness» and the aesthetic pleasure, which is the happiness, and cheerfulness of what is beautiful.

The study is only an attempt to be familiar with aesthetic concepts and meanings and to clarify the relation among them in the philosophy of Ibn Sina.
