Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the role of selection and appointment policies in achieving educational quality from the viewpoint of faculty members in Palestinian Universities in Southern West Bank.

The descriptive analytical approach was used.

The sample of the study consisted of (60) academics, a questionnaire consisting of (46) items was used, including (22) items for selection and appointment policies, (24) items for the quality of education.

The results indicated that the reality of selection and appointment policies is medium, while the quality of education was high, a strong role for selection and appointment policies in achieving quality of education.

there were no significant differences in the role of selection and appointment policies in achieving quality education according to variables:(gender, qualification, specialization , Years of service, and type of University), while there were significant differences according to the variable of academic rank, in favor of a lecturer, and assistant professor.

The study came out with a number of recommendations, including: (That Palestinian universities work to constantly modify the selection and appointment policies in effect, in a manner that is appropriate to the needs of universities, and to keep pace with ongoing scientific developments).
