تتباين التسميات التي تطلق على الصناعات التقليدية والحرفية من دولة إلى أخرى، كما أن المدلول الذي يستنبط من كل تسمية يختلف بدوره، فالصناعات التقليدية في البلدان المتقدمة تختلف عن الصناعات التقليدية في الجزائر أو غيرها من البلدان النامية، وهذا راجع لعدم وجود معايير دقيقة تفصل ما يندرج ضمن قطاع الصناعات التقليدية والحرف عن باقي القطاعات وارتباط هذه الصناعات بثقافة كل بلد وطبيعتها الجغرافية والتطور التكنولوجي.
Abstract EN
The traditional crafts and industries denominations are different from a country to another, even the signification which comes from them.
The traditional crafts and industries of developed countries are different from what is known in Algeria or other developing country, it is the consequence of inexistence of specified criteria précising what can be introduced into this field or to another one, it is essentially the consequence of the relationship between these industries, the local culture, the geographic nature and the technological development of a country.

La dénomination des industries traditionnelles et artisanales varient d’un pays à un autre, et ainsi la signification qui en découle.
Les industries traditionnelles et artisanales dans les pays développés diffèrent de celles connus en Algérie ou autres pays en voie de développement, ceci est dû à l’absence de critères précis pour déterminer ce qui peut être intégré au sein du secteur des industries traditionnelles ou dans d’autres secteurs, il est dû également au rapport existant entre ces industries et la culture locale, la nature géographique et le développement technologique de chaque pays.
