يعالج البحث مسألة استغلال الغاز الصخري في الجزائر، ومبررات هذا التوجه وانعكاساته على الاستيراتيجية الطاقوية في البلاد، ومدى نجاح هذا الخيار في تنويع مصادر الطاقة والتموقع على خارطة الطاقة في العالم، سعيا إلى تأمين حاجيات السوق الداخلية الماضية نحو التوسع، واستجابة لمتطلبات السوق الخارجية والوفاء بالالتزامات، وهذا وسط عدم اجماع على هذا الخيار في ظل الآثار البيئية المحتملة في عمليات استغلال الغاز الصخري.

The research deals the subject of the exploitation of shale gas in Algeria, the justification of this approach and its impact on the energy strategy in the country, and the success of this option in diversifying energy sources and the location of the energy map in the world, The research also examines the potential environmental impacts in the exploitation of shale gas.

L’objectif de cette recherche c’est d’étudier la question de l'exploitation du gaz de schiste en Algérie, et les justifications de cette tendance et ses implications pour la stratégie de l'énergie dans le pays, et d’estimer l’impact de ce choix dans la diversification des ressources énergétiques et le positionnement sur la carte énergétique du monde, sans oublier les effets environnementaux probables dans les opérations d’exploitation du gaz de schiste.
