Abstract EN

Nanotechnology is a new field for the development of novel nano-composite into a new range of products and development of their applications especially in pharmaceutical and medical sciences.

The importance of these nanoparticles has increased due to their distinctive biological activity and applications in biomedical and bio- catalytic reactions.

Date seeds, are actually a byproduct of date fruit and are largely produced in Saudia Arabia.

It is normally discarded, or used as animal feed ingredient.

Large quantities of date palm biomass wastes are annually accumulated without proper utilization.

The crude extracts of both extract were prepared using methanol solvent.

Generally, total phenolic content ranged from 0721 to 01201 mg gallic acid equivalents /g dw, where total flavonoid content varied from 918 to 8900 mg quercetin equivalents /g dw.

However, methanolic extract of Nano extract showed strong anti-cholesterol activity.

Further research is needed to elucidate the active constituents of Nano extract which may be useful in the development of new and effective antioxidant agents.

Also this work aimed to discover the potential interest of nanocomposite of date palm seeds to support the industrial sustainability by producing alternative compounds.
