Abstract EN

This paper deals with the pragmatics of poetic discourse.

It focuses on vocative style by making an approach of its esthetic functions in the language of poetry through pragmatic creticism’s viewpoint.

However, the divan is Djamil Konbos’s (Nidaa adhad) which is a set of texts that defend the arabic language and claim for protecting it.

The key question in this study was about the value of vocative style in strengthening both the meaning and the signification.

We resulted that the vocative style in the divan takes several functions post rhethoric.
