Abstract EN

This study aims to conduct a proposed conception of digital technical competencies in the light of the 21st century training requirements among art teachers.

The study sample consists of 51 female teachers during academic year of 1438-1439 in Al-Medinah Al-Monwarah.

The researcher created a survey detecting the requirements of digital technical training programs.

The survey included three domains.

First is the usage and practice proportion of art digital application.

Second is the usage and practice proportion of digital technologies in teaching art.

Third is the usage and practice proportion of computer science basics and informatics network.

The study results showed a range between low and average proportion in the first domain (art digital applications).

There was a similar range of low and average proportion in the second domain (teaching art) as well.

Finally, the usage and practice proportion of third domain (basics computer science and informatics network) was in range between average and high.

It is important to note that the previous results did not detect any significant statistical evidences variation which might be attributable to the study variables such as scientific qualification and service years.

Based on these results, the researcher recommends reconsidering the requirements of teachers’ training programs as well as considering this proposed conception in training art teachers
