Abstract EN

This study aims at recognizing the reality of the process of identifying the training needs in the Public Security Directorate from the leaders and directors point of view .

The researcher used the analytical description method where the study society consisted of (114) of the leaders and directors of public security departments and units of the year (2019).

A (50) sample were randomly pulled out of the study population .

(SPSS) was used to conduct statistical analysis to find the value of means averages and standard deviations.

The study concluded a number of results, the most important of which are: The response to the support from senior administration for the process of identifying training needs was high.

The response about existing a system for identifying training needs was high .

The response about the levels of training needs (organization, function, individual) was high.

The responses to whom is responsible about the training needs identification process were medium.

The responses to the methods of identifying training needs were medium.

The responses to the constraints of the identification of training needs were medium .

The researcher recommended in his study a set of recommendations, including: keeping the level of support for the senior administration in the Directorate of Public Security to identify the training needs of the various units and departments and to motivate the staff and specialists by identifying those needs at different levels of management by raising the level of coordination among them and urging the workers and motivating them to declare the lack of experience and training skills, And lecturing them about the importance of training and refining their skills in improving the performance of their work and the rapidity of Implementation and increasing the use of different methods in determining and analyzing training needs such as : Employee performance evaluation results, evaluation results of previous training courses, career track for employees, the rate of leaving employees to work in the directorate of public security, absence rate without any reason and absence statistics due to illness.
