Abstract EN

he issue of abrogation (NASKH) of the Holy Qur-an by Sunnah has been widely debated among scholars, and there have been many theoretical studies.

However, we need an empirical study of the verses that were said to have been abrogated by Snnah.This research is based on the collection of the verses that were said to have been abrogated by Sunnah except the verse of the WILL ( Surat Al Wasiyah), and to study them through the presentation of the quotes and the arguments of each then weighting and judging them.

In other words, the main purpose of this research is to find out whether a verse from Qur-aan has been superseded or replaced by Sunnah or not, present the statements and opinions of both groups impartially, find out and question the reasons that led those who support the idea of the abrogation of the WILL verse (Surat Al Wasiyah).

The most important results of the research is that there has not been any practical proof of the abrogation of Qur-aan by Sunnah and that the majority of the scholars’ quotes were made up;( Ijtihadi) and had no explicit evidence.

Moreover, most of these quotes and statements have only existed after the 4th Century AH
