Abstract EN

Andalusia was an integral part of the Islamic West during eight centuries since it was conquered by Tariq Ben Ziyad in the year of 92 of the Hegira, during the era of Emir Musa Ben Nossayer.

Thanks to the fact that Muslims had long resided in those lands, a great Andalusian civilization raised through energizing scientific, cultural and architectural movement.

Andalusia had then become the eye of Medieval Europe on other civilizations.

But at the beginning of the 15th century and throughout the 16th century, Europe had undergone profound transformations which led to a qualitative leap at all levels.

This allowed her to bypass and besiege the Islamic world in its own lands.

Europe also expulsed and displace Andalusian and Moorish Muslims and from the Northwest to the Southwest of the Mediterranean Sea.

And by surveying Andalusian migrations geographically, we find that many Andalusian families settled in Morocco, especially in the Rif area.

Despite tense relations between the two shores, mutual migrations between the two parties led to a civilizational richness in many areas.

Given the historical civilization of Andalusia, migrant families had contributed to transfering most elements of Andalusian civilization to Morocco during different periods.

At the level of economy, Andalusian immigration had largely affected economic activities, either in villages or cities, especially that the first Andalusian migration included many farmers who had found a fertile ground for agriculture.

Water and land were suitable for carrying on economic activities, especially in Andalusian neighborhoods.

The movement of Andalusian artisans had also contributed to transfering many industries and developing construction and armament industry.

The scientific field had, in addition, been developed significantly by Andalusians, in various scientific spheres, such as medicine, pharmacy, and translation.

Socially, they had transfered many customs and traditions of Andalusia, either those which became a central element of Moroccan civilization and those which vanished disappeared because they were rejected and abandoned by population.

As a result, we will address this issue through the following points: 1.

Historical context of Andalusian migration.

2.

Periods and areas of Andalusian migration to Morocco.

3.

Civilizational influences of Andalusian migration
