It demonstrates the political and economic causes that led to the outbreak of these rebellions in Cairo.

Discussing the causes of those rebellions will help to understand the Mamluk politics and the Sultan's relationship with his mamluks and developments that happened in those aspects in the last quarter of the Mamluk state.

Secondly, it describes the economic impact on the authority and public of the Julbān rebellions, which disrupted of the normal domestic and foreign trade and commerce.
