Abstract EN

This study aimed to investigate the degree of influence of academic preparation of Kuwait University on acquiring leadership behavior from student’s point of view.

The descriptive method was used.

its tool was a questionnaire which was applied on a simple random sample of (676) students.

By using the appropriate statistical tests, the findings revealed that: (1) The mean of perceptions regarding to leadership behavior was moderate.

(2) The dimensions of the questionnaire were classified descending: Enable Others to Act, Model the Way, Challenge the Process, Encourage the Heart and Inspire a Shared Vision.

(3) there were significant differences in the degree of influence of academic preparation of Kuwait University on acquiring leadership behavior based on the faculty and GPA, while there were not significant differences in the degree of influence of academic preparation of Kuwait University on acquiring leadership behavior based on gender or year of study.

The study concluded with recommendations based on the findings.
