Research summary : the research aims to identify: 1- identifying the liquid intelligence in the research sample.

2- to identify the differences of statistical significance in the liquid intelligence variable according to the following variables of research a: gender (male - female).

b - specialization (scientific - human).

the researcher used the descriptive research method.

the sample consisted of (368) male and female students from the university of Basra.
