Abstract EN

The aim of this research was to identify suggestibility and its relationship to extremism leading to violence among different samples from Anbar Governorate.

A random sample of (150) individuals whose ages are between (15-45) years was selected from Ramadi city center, including preparatory school students, university students, employees and freelancers.

The researcher used two scales; the first one was Obeid’s scale (2016), to measure the suggestibility, whereas the second was Lazar Stankove’s scale (2010) to measure violent extremism.

The results showed that the ratio of suggestibility and violence extremism was low among the sample of the study and there were no significant differences among the members of the sample with reference to age variable.

Furthermore, there was a positive correlation between suggestibility and violence extremism, meaning that, the higher suggestibility ratio, the more extremism leading to violence .
