Abstract EN

The research aimed to identify the beliefs of young people towards the mental and intellectual aspects of the elderly.

And to identify differences in beliefs according to variable (gender) and variable (Accommodation with the elderly).

And the design of a proposal for a Counseling Intervention Of Rational Emotive Behavioral to modify the negative beliefs towards the mental and intellectual aspects of the elderly .The descriptive approach was used and the researcher prepared a measure of beliefs towards the mental and intellectual aspects of the elderly.

And applied to the research sample, which amounted to (110) young men and women.

The results showed that the sample had negative beliefs towards the mental and intellectual aspects of the elderly.

There were no differences in negative beliefs between males and females, Or between those who live and those who are not living with the elderly.

It has also been designed to propose a Counseling Intervention Of Rational Emotive Behavioral to modify negative beliefs towards the mental and intellectual aspects of the elderly.

At the conclusion of the research, the researcher recommended a number of ministries to reconsider their plans of action towards the elderly to modify the negative belief towards their mental and intellectual aspects.

He also suggested to the relevant scientific departments to apply the guiding interference designed in the current research.
