Abstract EN

The present research aims at identifying the effect of using the collective discussion method in the achievement of the fourth grade students in the Arabic language subject.

to achieve the objective of the research, the researchers put the following hypothesis : there is no statistically significant difference between the average achievement of students who study using collective discussion and average grades students who study in the traditional method in the post-test in Arabic language subject.

the researchers chose the secondary tel adas mixed school to represent the experimental group and thesecondaru almanarah mixed school to represent the control group among the secondary and prepartory schools located within the district of talqev directorate of the general directorate for the education of Ninawa governorate, the research sample, which reached 60 students, was 31 for the experimental group and 29 for the control group.

the experimental and control groups were statistically significant in the following variables: (previous information, Arabic language grades for the year 2018-2019, age time, calculated by months, academic achievement of parents, and after determining the scientific subject, the researchers formulated the behavioral goals of the subjects were (125) behavioral goals, the researchers prepared a model plan for the subjects to be taught in the experiment.

the researchers studied the two research groups during the trial period.

after the experiment, the researchers applied the post-achievement test to the students of the two groups, the following statistical methods were used: kay square, t-test, pearson correlation coefficient, spearman equation, difficulty equation, discrimination equation.
