This study aimed to determine the extent to which the company relies on a balanced scorecard in assessing its environmental performance, while determining the possibility of establishing a balanced scorecard in the Algerian National Road Works Company (ALTRO).

The analytical descriptive approach was used in this study to test and analyze hypotheses and arrive at suggestions on the studied case or phenomenon, as well as the case study method for assessing all aspects of environmental performance using traditional methods and the possibility of using modern methods.

Environmental performance is one of the most important issues, and the Algerian National Road Works Company (ALTRO) is concerned with all aspects of environmental performance and evaluation using traditional methods.

The Sustainable balanced scorecard a modern and effective way to improve and evaluate the environmental performance of business organizations, Several proposals have been made, including the need for the establishment of the Algerian National Road Works Company (ALTRO)for a sustainable balanced performance card to continuously improve and evaluate its environmental performance.
