Abstract EN

This study aims to address the problem of measuring the banking efficiency of Algerian commercial banks using the method of Data Envelopment Analysis.

The study includes a sample of seven banks between the periods of 2012-2016, in which the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method, which classifies banks in a restricted efficiency index confined between 0 and 1, has been adopted, and based on the BCC model, through which we obtained a set of results.

On this basis, efficient and inefficient banks were identified, as were the improvements required for inefficient banks summarised so they can reach full efficiency.
