Abstract EN

The objective of this article is to identify the aspirations of Algeria from exploitation of renewable energies and the obstacles that prevent it, and for this we followed the descriptive approach, this article deals the following points: the concept of renewable energies, the motives of Algeria's thinking in the renewable energies, some projects exist in this sector, renewable energies development program and the most important obstacles to the optimal exploitation of these renewable energies.

Among the results achieved, Algeria has a lot of potential in renewable energies, the renewable energy program is trying to install a renewable power of about 22000 MW by 2030 for the national market but this aim hampered by many obstacles, the most important is the high capital cost of these projects.
