Abstract EN

The present study aimed to estimate the rate of happiness and its associations with well- being and religiosity among Sultan Qaboos University students (N = 381).

The tools of the study included: (a) the Arabic Scale of Happiness, (b) Well-being rating scales of physical health, mental health, happiness, and satisfaction with life, and (c) religiosity.

Results indicated that the prevalence rate of happiness among Omani college students was 25.4% for males and 22.59% for females according to the percentile 75.

Females obtained significantly higher mean scores on the Arabic Scale of Happiness, the rating scales of happiness and satisfaction with life.

Most of the Pearson correlation coefficients were statistically significant and positive in both sexes, except one correlation in males and three correlations in females.

A single high-loaded factor was retained in men and women and labeled "Well-being and religiosity"
