Abstract EN

The objective of this study was to reveal the level of Proficiencies of jurisprudence among students of jurisprudence and it's foundations in the University of Jordan according to gender, perceived self-efficacy, academic achievement, and nationality.

The study population consisted of all of the fourth year students / specialized in jurisprudence at the University of Jordan, for the academic year 2016/2017 the second semester, with a total of (150) male and female students.

The study sample consisted of (104) male and female students, which were chosen randomly.

To achieve the study objective, the researchers developed two instruments to collect the study data.

The instruments included the jurisprudence proficiencies on 16 items distributed on six proficiencies, synthesis, inference, the infallibility, the application of jurisprudential rules, linking the legitimate rule to the intent, understanding the jurisprudential fact, and mensuration.

The self-efficacy instruments was formed of (44) items.

In order to analyze the data, the means and standard deviations were used, in addition to the analysis of the quadratic variance and the Schiffe test for the after comparisons of the calculation of the jurisprudence proficiencies in the sample according to the variables included in this study.

The study reached a number of results, the most important of which were: The level of jurisprudence proficiencies among the students was high.

There were no statistical significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) for the level of jurisprudence proficiencies according to the gender variable, except for the proficiency of understanding the jurisprudential question and in favor of females.

There were no statistical significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) for the level of jurisprudence proficiencies according to the nationality variable.

There were statistical significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) for the level of jurisprudence proficiencies according to the academic achievement variable and for the benefit of high achievement.

There were statistical significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) for the level of jurisprudence proficiencies according to the variable of self-perceived efficiency and for the benefit of high efficiency.
