Abstract EN

The present study aimed at assessing the degree of numerical skills possession among a sample of children with autism spectrum disorder in Jordan.

The sample included 30 cases of children with autism spectrum disorder aged between 10 and 15 years.

To achieve the goal of the study, the researchers constructed a scale of numerical skills.

The reliability and validity of the scale were assured.

To answer the questions of the study means, standard deviation and t-test were used.

The results showed that the performance level on the numerical skills scale was between low, moderate, and high.

The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in numerical skills according to the age variable.

The study recommended providing educational programs for the improvement of the numerical skills of children with the autism spectrum disorder.
