The economic emergence process of the Maghreb countries

Abstract EN

The Maghreb countries as any developing country have started many structural reforms since the 1990s in order to boost their economic growth.

Some countries have achieved a higher rate of economic growth than developed countries, which became called emerging economies, while other economies such as the Maghreb countries are not yet able to achieve this level of macroeconomic performance.

The aim of this study is to analyze the components of the synthetic index of the economic emergence of the Maghreb countries in order to determine the factors that block the process of economic take off.
