Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the role of retrieval strategies in improving the reading comprehension skills of children with reading comprehension difficulties through the design and implementation of a training program based on information processing theory.

The program is based on the subjects' learning of two cognitive strategies: the recitation method and the details perception method.

Subjects are trained in the use of these methods and their implementation in reading situations.

We also applied a set of tools, including the IQ test (drawing of a man) as normative tools for controlling the sample.

The reading comprehension test used in the study, designed by the researcher to detect reading difficulties in grade 4 students, is designed to monitor the sample and assess the level of literacy skills of its members.

The study sample included 30 fourth graders without cognitive problems but all suffering from reading difficulties affecting their ability to comprehension reading.

The study showed an improvement in the readingcomprehension skills of the study subjects due to the effective role of the recitation method andthedetails perception method.
