Abstract EN

Since the beginning of the new millennium, Algeria has been witnessing a new development experiment aimed primarily at exploring mechanisms to support economic growth, the most important of which is the promotion of investment in the agricultural sector.

Furthermore, Algeria has become increasingly interested in developing investment in the agricultural sector; especially after adopting the policy of agricultural and rural renewal which has provided many opportunities for employment and investment in agricultural projects that resulted in increasing the production of many agricultural crops of various kinds, but it still faces a number of challenges, the most important of which is food security.

What makes us wonder: to what extent does the development of agricultural investment contribute to supporting the growth of the agricultural sector and reducing the food gap in Algeria? In this study, we aim to highlight the status of the agricultural sector in development in Algeria, the efforts made to develop agricultural investment, and finally its contribution to supporting the growth of the agricultural sector and reducing the food gap in Algeria.
