In light of the changing environment and the rapid developments taking place in the business organizations, it has become imperative for organizations to research for new management methods adapted to the current environment, which is provided by the adoption of strategic planning method in organizations, as it contributes to changing the way organizations plan to develop their own strategies.

In this paper we will try to highlight the nature of relationship between strategic planning and performance improvement from a balanced performance card perspective, this latter is based on the idea of balancing the formulation of strategic plans and their implementation by translating the strategy into measurable goals and evaluating them based on four dimensions to assess the overall performance of the organization
