Abstract EN

This study aimed to find out the reasons for the reluctance of Islamic banks in Jordan to participate in the form of "Musharaka Muntahia Betamleek" as a tool of long-term investment.

In order to measure this target has been set of test hypotheses included sub-factors that are expected to affect it directly in the application of this tool .

The study found that the most important factors affecting the size of the application of this tool in Islamic banks: the unwillingness of Islamic banks in carrying operational risk and credit related to this tool * the Jordanian Islamic banks prefers short and medium term investments to maintain the levels of high liquidity • in addition to the inadequacy of the necessary experience and ability for employees to apply this tool successfully .

The researchers recommended several recommendations including the need to overcome these reasons for expansion in the application this tool by participating in small and medium enterprises.
