The study aimed to identify the level of multiple intelligences among the students of the Faculty of Education - Dhamar University and their impact on their creative abilities.
The study followed the descriptive correlative approach.
In order to achieve the objective of the study, two measures were used: Mohammed Al-Kesbani's measure for multiple intelligences which consisted of (90) phrases distributed among the nine intelligences after verifying its validity and reliability and the measure of creative abilities which consisted of (50) phrases prepared by researchers after verifying its validity and reliability.They were applied to the sample of the study consisting of (209) students from the Faculty of Education, Dhamar University, (10.33%) of the study population, was chosen by cluster method.
The results of this study showed that the nine levels of multiple intelligences (linguistic intelligence, musical intelligence, spatial intelligence, logical intelligence, physical intelligence, personal intelligence, social intelligence, natural intelligence, and emotional intelligence) are median among the members of the sample.
The highest level of intelligence in the sample is the linguistic intelligence, while the lowest level of intelligence in the sample is the physical intelligence (kinesthetic).
The test of One Way ANOVA showed that there were statistically significant differences at level (0.05) between the mean levels of the physical intelligence (kinesthetic) and the social intelligence according to the specialization variable.
It also showed that there were statistically significant differences at level (0.05) between the mean levels of the other fields of intelligence according to the specialization variable.
The results of the Stepwise regression analysis showed that there was a statistically significant effect at level (0.05) for the logical/mathematical intelligence on creative abilities.
Also, there was a statistically significant effect at level (0.05) for the logical/ mathematical intelligence and the spatial/visual intelligence on creative abilities.
A statistically significant effect was found at level (0.05) for the three domains of intelligence (logical/ mathematical intelligence, the spatial/ visual intelligence, and natural intelligence) on creative abilities.
