Abstract EN

The present research deals with the climatic impacts of the shallow and deep low pressure areas depending on the daily readings of a climate season from September (2004) to August (2005) of Normal temperature, air pressure and relative humidity at (12) p.m as the frontal and thermic shallow and deep low pressure areas are varied at the levels (850,1000) mbar through analyzing climate maps during day observation at GMT1200 above the study stations of Mosul, Baghdad and Basrah.

It has been noticed that the frontal low pressures, like the Mediterranean, are shallow and last few days.

However, thermic low pressure areas, like the Indian seasonal and the Sudanese low pressures, last long.

This has a great impact on changing the Iraqi climate as a result of the increase of temperature and decrease of relative humidity
