Abstract EN

Financial markets have been affected by the rapid electronic developments around the world.

As a result, these markets have shifted to electronic systems, including the system of electronic trading in securities which offers many advantages to customers compared to the conventional trading system.

The shift was motivated by the desire to expand the base of traders so as to provide liquidity in these markets and to ensure the active participation of traders by processing the buy and sell orders by themselves.

This also allows traders to handle certain securities from any place where the Internet service is available, view trading data directly, and to reduce the commission rate and trade in a number of markets at the same time.

However, the use of electronic trading system revealed a number of risks in practice, including those related to the brokerage company, the electronic trader, and the trading system itself.

This study aims to identify the risks resulting from the electronic trading process in the absence of legal rules that can confront them.

As a conclusion, this study suggests several recommendations to be considered by the legislator for the purpose of reducing these risks.
