IBN QUTAYBA is adopted in his book "TAFSIR GHARIB EL QURAN" on etymological rooting, through returning the meanings of the words of GHARIB to his linguistic origins which characterized by unity and diversity, There are words returned to an etymological origin, and of them been returned to more than that.
The author of the book makes the process of rooting by mentioning a term that reflects the original several times, and other times it does not mention, but addresses the individual uses in a way that suggests the etymological origin.
