Abstract EN

The present Study aimed to identify the role of extracurricu- lar activities in fostering and developing the ethical, social and patriotic values among the Qudents of The University of Tabuk.

The researcher used the descriptive survey through applying a queelionnaire consiQing of (57) items diglributed into three areas: (social values, ethical values, and patriotic values) to a random sample of 550 male and female Sludents from The University of Tabuk.

The Sludy results showed that the extracurricular activities play an important role in fo'tering the social, ethical and patriotic values in Qudents; the more the participation of Students in extra- curricular activities and programs, the more is the positive effect on the system of values among them and the more is the contri- bution to the refinement of their personalities.

The Study also showed that females are more interactive to the ethical, social and patriotic values than the males and that the system of values among Students is not affected by the specialization variable.

One of the conclusions that the current Qudy arrived at is that when setting the teaching timetable, the times and places allocated for extracurricular programs and activities should be clearly identi- fied provided that they do not overlap with the lectures.
